First steps to earning income in MLM (Multi-Level Marketing)

So, you’ve just joined an MLM or net marketing opportunity. Your sponsor is gung-ho about earning big paychecks. The company is inviting you to team seminars and conferences. You’ve heard tons of stories about making six figures a year – and you’re more excited than anyone to start making money!

But what now?

If you’re new to MLM, chances are you might not know exactly what to do next – especially if you’re not getting specific instructions from your sponsor or the company. But keep in mind: these first steps are absolutely crucial to getting your MLM business off the ground, so you can start earning those fat paychecks as fast as possible.

In order to start earning, here are some basic steps you should take immediately.

Review the company’s compensation plan.
You should have already done this before you joined, but if not, now is the time. The way you earn income (how, when, how much, etc.) is determined by the details set forth in the company’s compensation plan. Review this plan carefully to see exactly how you’ll be earning once you start getting customers.

Talk to your sponsor or other team members.
Your sponsor may already have a step-by-step action plan for this specific MLM opportunity. Make an effort to contact him or her, and ask how you can duplicate their success. Your sponsor’s help will be invaluable to your business’s growth, especially during these early days. If you can’t reach your sponsor, contact the company and ask them to provide another team member who can help you.

Talk to your “warm market” – family & friends.
Explain your business and products to family and friends who might be interested in buying from you, or starting their own business. It’s as simple as talking to them as you normally would – and the best part is: it’s free advertising.

Set up a specific daily schedule.
You might not like the idea of “schedules” now that you’re working from home, but it pays off big to keep your daily efforts on track. Create a log, write down what time you want to recruit by phone, what hours you want to try Internet Marketing, etc.

Sign up on social net sites.
Sites like Facebook.com and Myspace.com can help you connect with a lot more people, for free. Create a profile for yourself, start finding old friends and classmates, and be sure to include a link to your business site within your profile.

Try MLM Leads.
If you’re ready to invest some advertising dollars, leads are a great way to expand your business throughout the world.
